The Milwaukee Bucks started the season 2-8 and they are 10-9 and the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. They may not be a title contender this season, but the Bucks look more respectable and this is something that the fans were looking for.
There is a chance that general manager Jon Horst will make a trade before the 2025 NBA trade deadline. One player to potentially watch for at the trade deadline is Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma.
The Milwaukee Bucks And Other NBA Teams Are Reportedly Eyeing Kyle Kuzma
According to Michael Scotto who is an NBA insider, the Wizards may move off of Kuzma at some point in a trade. Kyle Kuzma does not fit the Wizards long-term plans.
There are six interested teams and one of them is the Milwaukee Bucks. The other five teams who are interested are the Miami Heat, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Sacramento Kings, and the Golden State Warriors.
This season, the Washington Wizards are 2-16 and they could very well land the number one pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. The projected number-one pick in the 2025 NBA Draft could very well be Cooper Flagg from Duke.
Kuzma Stats
This season with the Washington Wizards, he is averaging 15.8 PPG, 5.6 RPG, and 1.9 APG, along with 42.0% from the field. Kyle Kuzma is 29 years old. If he were to be traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, it would be intriguing to see who the Bucks would give up in a trade.
Would they trade players like Brook Lopez and Pat Connaughton who are on expiring contracts? Khris Middleton has yet to play in a game this season for the Bucks. Bobby Portis has also been on the trade block for the Bucks for the past couple of months.
Milwaukee would have to give up something to get Kuzma. He would be a better third option for this team right now for Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Middleton being injured has not helped this team and Kuzma would be a better third-option than Brook Lopez. This is something that the Bucks should do only if the price is right.
