There’s no question that the Milwaukee Bucks are blessed with the superstar duo they have playing for their roster.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are outstanding players who can take over games with their own talent. While the Bucks didn’t make it far during last season’s postseason, they can get away with the fact that Giannis had to sit out throughout his team’s first-round loss to the Indiana Pacers due to injury.
The Bucks fandom had no choice but to cede that their star duo’s first season had to end this way and look toward the coming season. As long as the two stars are playing with Milwaukee emblazoned on their chests, the Bucks will always have a shot at the title.
However, a popular measuring tool on player performance for next season gave a harsh rating on one of them, and fans may feel hard done by the rating.
NBA 2K25 ratings of Milwaukee Bucks stars Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard revealed
NBA 2K25 has become a terrific barometer of how NBA players performed over the past season, and the game developers gave the Bucks’ two stars their ratings.
Antetokounmpo got one of the best ratings in the game for his solid performance last season. However, Lillard’s dip in form resulted in him failing to crack the 90 club.
Per Fadeaway World’s Vishwesha Kumar:
The Milwaukee Bucks, despite a disappointing 2023-24 NBA season that ended in an early playoff exit, remain one of the top teams in the NBA 2K25 video game. With a roster boasting some high-profile names and solid contributors, the Bucks are well-represented in terms of player ratings. Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the way with a stellar 97 overall rating, while Damian Lillard, who joined the team last season but struggled with injuries, falls to an 89.
It’s understandable why the popular game franchise’s ratings team decided to give them their respective ratings. The Greek Freak finished the 2023-24 season with 30.4 PPG, 11.5 RPG, and 6.5 APG. While Dame Time was still phenomenal as the Bucks’ #2 option, he had a down season with averages of 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7.0 assists.
Lillard has since promised to play better for the Milwaukee Bucks in his second year with the squad, so fans should expect mid-season patches to tweak his rating back to the 90s soon.
