Milwaukee Bucks news: To say that Damian Lillard has been on a rollercoaster ride over the past few months would be a complete understatement. His long drawn-out trade saga with the Portland Trail Blazers finally ended last week when he was shipped off to the Bucks in a stunning blockbuster trade.
As it turns out, Dame’s personal life of late has been as difficult, if not even more.
Damian Lillard Files for Divorce After Milwaukee Bucks Trade
According to a report by Sophie Peel of Willamette Week, Lillard has officially filed for divorce from his wife, Kay’La Lillard. The filing was reportedly made on October 2, which was five days after his move to Milwaukee was announced.
The reason behind the divorce was not revealed, although the filing did indicate “irreconcilable differences.”
Dame and Kay’La were college sweethearts from Weber State. They were married in September 2021. They have three kids together: Damian Jr. (5), and twins Kalii and Kali (2).
At this point, there is no way to know if Lillard’s massive decision has anything to do with his trade to the Bucks. Right now, it’s all speculation.

While some of the tweets are admittedly funny, the fact of the matter is that this is a serious matter. Our hearts go out to the kids, who will now need to live through a broken family.
From a basketball standpoint, Bucks fans can only hope that this does not serve as an unwanted distraction for Dame and his work on the basketball court.
