Dame Time happened in LA on Sunday afternoon. Damian Lillard led the charge for the Milwaukee Bucks in the fourth quarter to lift his team over the Los Angeles Clippers, 124-117.
Lillard scored 16 out of his 35 points in the final frame as he once again showcased his clutch heroics against a shorthanded yet unrelenting Clippers side. Thanks to Dame’s strong play, the Bucks were able to mark their first win in three games.

After the game, Lillard was asked to comment on his fourth-quarter takeover against the Clippers. Dame pointed to his chemistry with superstar teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo as the instigating factor that fueled his strong performance down the stretch:
“We’ve been saying all year, it’s gonna take time for me and Giannis to just kinda develop playing off each other,” he said. “I think we’re just getting better and better playing off each other. I’m having a much better understanding of how to use him against the defense to find my space. It’s not always perfect but I think that was the best that we’ve used it. For me to get opportunities, for him to get opportunities and just to put the defense at our mercy.
“I was able to get into a flow, see the ball go in. That’s how we’re gonna have to close out games.”

Lillard stole the show with his 35 points, which came along with seven triples, seven rebounds, and 11 assists. Giannis wasn’t bad at all either, logging 34 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists, a steal, and a block. As Dame said, this was probably the best we’ve seen from these two as a duo all season long.
The Bucks are hitting their stride at just the right time. Before we know it, this squad is going to be ready for what the postseason has in store for them.
