Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to make his return to the court after missing the Milwaukee Bucks’ last game against the Washington Wizards on Sunday. Without Giannis (and Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton) playing, the Bucks lost for just the fourth time at home this season. Once again, the Bucks will take on the Wizards in what will be the first game of a back-to-back for Milwaukee. In his career, Giannis has averages of 22.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game against Washington. However, since 2016, his averages are 26.6 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. Here, we will take a look at his five best performances.

    5. December 23, 2016: Bucks 123, Wizards 96

The year that Giannis Antetokounmpo won the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the Year Award saw him have many special performances. One of those was in this game. Giannis scored 39 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out six assists. He was 12-19 from the floor (0-1 from three) and 15-17 from the free throw line.

Jabari Parker had 21 points and eight rebounds for the Bucks as well. Greg Monroe had a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds) off of the bench.

    4. February 6, 2019: Bucks 148, Wizards 129

In this contest, Giannis Antetokounmpo had 43 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals as the Bucks steamrolled the Wizards. Giannis and the Bucks used a 50-point first quarter to put the game out of reach early. The eventual MVP shot 17-21 from the floor (3-3 from three), but was just 6-11 from the free throw line.

Now, if a 43-point game is just number four on this list, you know the next three are going to be out of this world.

    3. March 13, 2021: Bucks 125, Wizards 119

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 33 points led all Bucks scorers, seven of whom got to double-figures. However, what stood Giannis apart from every was that in addition to those 33 points, he had 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Not only that, but he added a steal and a block on defense.

    2. March 15, 2021: Bucks 133, Wizards 122

Two days after recording a triple-double against the Wizards, Giannis Antetokounmpo did it again! This time he put up 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. He was an efficient 12-19 from the floor (1-2 from three) and a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line. Defensively, Giannis had three steals and a block.

    1. February 1, 2022: Bucks 112, Wizards 98

Since Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play on Sunday night, this is the last game in which he faced the Wizards. He put up yet another triple-double with 33 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists. He also added two blocks. Giannis was efficient as ever from the floor, shooting 14-21 overall and was a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line.
