The Milwaukee Bucks will have the 23rd and 33rd overall picks in the 2024 NBA Draft and the Duke Blue Devils have a couple of good players in this year’s class. General manager Jon Horst must make pivotal decisions this offseason for the Bucks.
One of the most important things for them is to get younger. Injuries to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard during the postseason did not help their cause at all. They are the two best players on the Bucks’ roster.

The 2024 NBA Draft will allow this basketball team to improve its roster. Some players they may decide to trade this offseason are Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Pat Connaughton, or Bobby Portis.
CBS Sports’ Latest NBA Mock Draft Has the Milwaukee Bucks Taking Duke Blue Devils Superstar Kyle Filipowski 23rd Overall

Filipowski is 6’11” and weighs 230 lbs. He played for the Blue Devils last season during his sophomore season. Kyle Filpowski averaged 16.4 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 2.8 APG last season with Duke. CBS Sports has the Bucks taking him 23rd overall in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Cameron Salerno of CBS Sports said about the Bucks making this selection:
“Filipowski is probably the most skilled player offensively his size in this class. He can stretch the floor and bruise inside. Filipowski is more of a four than a five at the next level, but his archetype is what NBA teams are looking for.”
If Milwaukee were to take him in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft, this would make Brook Lopez expendable. He has one year remaining on his contract and is 36 years old. Lopez has been very reliable for Milwaukee for the past several years, but it is time for them to move on from him.
Kyle Filipowski would be a much younger and better option at this point for the Bucks. He would be able to stretch the floor because he shot 34.8% from the field with the Duke Blue Devils last season. Milwaukee needs more shooters around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

It is very important for general manager Jon Horst not to trade his draft picks this year, If the Bucks were to trade draft picks and not take Kyle Filipowski, they better get a proven player then.
