The Milwaukee Bucks were able to pull off a hard-fought win over the San Antonio Spurs last night. While the win was nice, the entertainment level of the game was even better. Being able to watch Giannis Antetokounmpo and Victor Wembanyama battle against each other was must-watch TV.
When all was said and done, however, Antetokounmpo got the last laugh.
Both players put together massive performances, but the Bucks pulled out a close 125-121 win over the 5-29 Spurs. The win was nice, but it being such a tough game was a bit of a concern. Milwaukee has been struggling a bit of late.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Shares Big Thoughts On Antetokounmpo vs. Wembanyama
Brook Lopez, the Bucks’ center, could not hold back his thoughts about watching the two stars go back and forth at each other.
“There were definitely a few things where I was like I haven’t really seen that before. I mean, there was a point where I was on the bench and I was just watching the game and Giannis came down and did something amazing and then Wembanyama came back and did something amazing as well. And it was like, ‘Wow. I’m watching something special here.’ The game’s going like this, I don’t know, I mean, I’ll shoot a few more left shoulder jump hooks and that might be it for me with my normal down-to-earth stuff. But it was really cool to see. It was awesome.”
Following the game, Milwaukee Bucks star Antetokounmpo also spoke out about Wembanyama and had some great things to see about the young rising superstar.
“He’s special,” Antetokounmpo said about Wembanyama. “He’s going to be an extremely good player. He plays the right way. He plays to win. I’ve never seen anything like him.”
All of that being said, the win was the most important thing for the Bucks. They improved to 25-10 with the win.
Even though the win was the biggest part about the night for the Milwaukee Bucks, it will be very fun to watch Antetokounmpo and Wembanyama battle for years to come.
