The Milwaukee Brewers sent eight players to the Arizona Fall League this year. Among that group are three position players. One of them will be participating in the upcoming home run derby that is set to take place on Saturday, November 4.
Milwaukee Brewers prospect Wes Clarke will participate in the 2024 Arizona Fall League home run derby.
During the 2023 MiLB season 24 year old prospect Wes Clarke led the Southern League in home runs with 26. This league, which has Milwaukee’s Double-A affiliate the Biloxi Shuckers in it, utilized pre-tacked baseballs during the first half of the season. His 26 long balls this year was a career best in affiliated ball in which he was drafted in the 10th round during the 2021 MLB draft and five home runs in 2021 and 14 in 2022.
In the Arizona Fall League this year Wes Clarke has four home runs over 77 plate appearances. This is good enough for the fifth best in the league. He additionally has a .577 slugging percentage this fall.The home run derby will be streamed live from Mesa on MLB.com at 9:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Other contestants along side Wes Clarke include Aaron Sabato, Ivan Melendez, Kyle Manzardo, Kevin Alcántara, and Damiano Palmegiani.
