The Milwaukee Brewers have recently announced that Ryan Braun, a former MVP outfielder, will be inducted into the Walk of Fame. Braun will be the 23rd player to receive this honor, and his induction ceremony will take place during a home game in the 2024 season.

Ryan Braun was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers with the 5th overall pick in the 2005 MLB draft following his outstanding performance as a two-time All-American at the University of Miami. He made a quick impact in the minor leagues, and within two years, he was promoted to the big leagues, making his Major League debut on May 25th, 2007. During his rookie year, he had a remarkable season with 34 home runs, 97 RBIs, and a batting average of .324, earning him the prestigious NL Rookie of the Year award.
From 2008 to 2012, Braun was considered one of the best hitters in the National League, and in 2011, he won the NL MVP award with 33 homers, 111 RBIs, and a .332 batting average.
Braun had been a reliable hitter from 2013 to 2020. However, the Brewers decided to pay him a $4 million buyout instead of exercising their $15 million option, which made him a free agent for the first time in his career. He eventually retired after not playing in the 2021 season.
