The Milwaukee Brewers currently have one of the best farm systems in baseball. Several prospect ranking sites have them ranked second and trailing only the Baltimore Orioles. Having prospects with great potential such as Jackson Chourio, Jeferson Quero, Jacob Misiorowski, Tyler Black, Joey Ortiz, and Robert Gasser has led to their high ranking.
Recently one Milwaukee Brewers prospect, who is not ranked in the top 100 by any site, has seen his prospect status gain steam. The website Prospect Tilt has been leading this hype train and providing incredible information as to why his stock is “ready to explode”.
Milwaukee Brewers prospect Logan Henderson is a breakout candidate this year.
Per Prospect Tilt Logan Henderson has one of the best changeups in the minor leagues. He pairs a fastball with this but has been missing a reliable third pitch. Despite this in Low-A in 2023 he struck out 35.2% of batters faced and had a 2.75 ERA over 78.2 innings of work. This site went as far to say that he could be the 2024 version of Drew Thorpe.
Per reports Logan Henderson’s velocity has been increasing.
A season ago Logan Henderson sat around 90-92 MPH. This off-season there have been reports that his fastball has touched 95-96 MPH. To go with that advanced metrics also also reporting an induced vertical break (IVB) of 18-20 inches. This means that his fastball would now have elite vertical movement.
Where is Logan Henderson ranked among Milwaukee Brewers prospects?
Currently the former fourth round draft pick in 2021 is ranked 18th on the Brewers top 30 prospect list. This has him behind other pitches such as Josh Knoth and Bradley Blalock, but ahead of Coleman Crow. He will turn 22 years old in early March and could start the 2024 season off in Double-A.
