The Milwaukee Brewers have not had much good news lately in regard to updates on injured players. Robert Gasser is looking at a lengthy stint on the injured list and is seeking out a third opinion on his elbow and Jakob Junis plus Joe Ross both had set backs in their recovery. However one bit of good news is that Garrett Mitchell began a rehab assignment and he shined during his first game.

When might Garrett Mitchell be ready to return to the Milwaukee Brewers?
Players that begin rehab assignments in Arizona typically go through a progression of playing games there and then in Triple-A. It’s unclear how many game at-bats Mitchell will need to be ready, but MLB.com has his expected return date listed as soon as June 17. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, but it’s fair to assume that he will be ready at some point in June.
