Milwaukee Brewers 2023 eighth round MLB Draft selection Crag Yoho is having himself a tremendous minor league season. He began the year in Single-A, dominated in Double-A, and recently was promoted to Triple-A in which his debut with the Nashville Sounds came on August 9. During his debut he went viral with a nasty changeup that confused statcast and it got registered as the wrong pitch.
Craig Yoho tossed a scoreless inning during his Triple-A debut.
After accumulating a 47% strikeout rate in Double-A Craig Yoho earned a promotion to Triple-A. During his debut with the Sounds he tossed a scoreless inning, didn’t allow a base runner, threw nine pitches, and struck out one batter.
Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Craig Yoho goes viral due to a changeup that he threw during his Triple-A debut.
During his Triple-A debut Craig Yoho threw a changeup that caught the attention of baseball fans everywhere. Yoho, a right-handed pitcher, managed to get 47 inches of vertical movement (downward) on a changeup that statcast registered as a curveball thrown by a left-handed pitcher. Per Curt Hogg only one MLB pitcher has had a changeup with that much movement all of this year.

How does Craig Yoho’s changeup compare to Devin Williams?
Milwaukee Brewers closer Devin Williams currently has one of the nastiest changeups in the league. His changeup has been coined the airbender and has a lot of vertical movement. Since 2020 Williams changeup has averaged anywhere from 40-43 inches of vertical movement each season.
