The Milwaukee Brewers selected several college arms during the middle to late stages of the 2023 MLB Draft. A few include Tate Kuehner, Craig Yoho, Mark Manfredi, and Brett Wichrowski. Of this group one pitcher was recently promoted to Triple-A after striking out nearly half of his batters faced this year.
24 year old Craig Yoho has been promoted to the Milwaukee Brewers Triple-A affiliate.
Across Single-A and Double-A this season Craig Yoho has been dominant. The right hander has tossed 43.1 innings, struck out 83, and has a 0.83 ERA. In Double-A he struck out 47% of the batters that he faced. He additionally has nine saves and three holds.
Craig Yoho was just announced as the Milwaukee Brewers pitcher of the month.
During the month of July Craig Yoho tossed 10 scoreless innings with the Biloxi Shuckers. He additionally struck out 19 batters and overall 43% of the batters that he faced. This earned him pitcher of the month honors from the Brewers player development team.
Could Craig Yoho factor into the Milwaukee Brewers 2024 season plans?
Between all that Crag Yoho has accomplished this season and his age (24) the stars could align for him to factor into the Brewers 2024 season plans. However it may take an injury or two this year for that to happen as Milwaukee will soon be facing a roster space issue in regard to their pitching staff. D.L. Hall and Bryan Hudson are slated to return soon, J.B. Bukauskas is on the mend, and Jacob Misiorowski is currently having his innings monitored in preparation for a possible late season call up.
It seems unlikely that Craig Yoho will make the jump from Single-A to the big leagues in one season, but going forward he will be one pitcher to keep tabs on. More than likely he has earned himself an invitation to big league camp come next spring training.
