Even though the offseason is upon us, it’s never too early to start talking about next season for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Some exciting news dropped on Monday when the Las Vegas Aviators, the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics announced that the A’s and the Milwaukee Brewers will take part in two games for the 2024 Big League Weekend at Las Vegas Ballpark.
This comes just weeks after it was announced that the Athletics would be making the move to Vegas after a unanimous vote by MLB managers. Now, the A’s aren’t expected to play in Vegas until 2028, but this Big League Weekend will be a fun chance to see what the future of the Athletics’ organization could look like in Viva Las Vegas.
Milwaukee Brewers to Play A’s in March
“We are excited to welcome back Big League Weekend to Las Vegas Ballpark,” Aviators President/COO Don Logan said on Monday. “We welcome our major league affiliate, the Oakland Athletics, back for a third visit to Las Vegas Ballpark for Spring Training games. This will mark Milwaukee’s first visit back to Las Vegas since 1999.”
The Brewers will be making their fourth all-time appearance for Big League Weekend (1993, 1998, and 1999). Milwaukee’s last appearance was in two-games at Cashman Field where the Brewers defeated San Diego 8-3 on Apr. 2, 1999 and then defeated Seattle 12-0 on Apr. 3.
This will be the third appearance for Oakland at Las Vegas Ballpark since the inaugural Las Vegas Ballpark BLW in 2020.
Aviators officials have said that Big League Weekend ticket packages are now available for purchase by calling their front office or by emailing their ticketing department. Tickets start at just $30 per seat.
For those wishing to buy for individual games there will be a presale through Ticketmaster starting on Friday, Dec. 1 at noon. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Monday, Dec. 4 at noon.
