The two sides of the I-94 Rivalry again have differing fate in the 15th week of the AP Top 25 Ranking with Marquette Golden Eagles suffering a hard fall.

Wisconsin Badgers basketball team’s recent streak, on the other hand, is very much reward and the nation should start taking notice.
Coach Greg Gard’s squad climbed by five spots to 16th spot and have overtake their state rivals, big thanks to their two big wins last week.
They are on a three-game winning streak, with the last two of them ending in double digit victories. Week 15 saw them beat Indiana Hoosiers by 12 points and Iowa Hawkeyes by 11 points.
Gard is happy with the way the season is going for his Badgers and they are now preparing for no. 1 team Purdue Boilmakers.

“We’ll use this week to get healthier and rested, and then use the back half to prep for Purdue,” Gard said after the win over Iowa.
“They know, and they’ve been around me long enough to know that, other than going home to hang out with my wife, there’s not much relaxing with me with things like this.”
Marquette Golden Eagles stray away from Top 10
The Golden Eagles was a Top 10 two weeks ago but after three straight losses, they have fallen to no. 18. Their rivals Badgers have overtaken them.
The team slipped by seven spots from last week’s no. 11, no thanks to defeats in the hands of the Top 3 teams in their conference.

The slide started on National Marquette Day when they lost to the U-Conn Huskies.
They then lost to Big East no. 1 St. John’s Red Storm after an awful shooting night and then failed to redeem themselves when they visited and lost to the Creighton Bluejays.
Good take away from this is that the Golden Eagles remain in Top 25, which is now their 46th consecutive week inside such elite ranking.
According to Anonymous Eagle:
This is the longest AP run since MU appeared in every ranking from December 29, 1969 through December 3, 1979. Nearly 10 full years! 166 consecutive polls! Al McGuire was good at his job.
