Kyle Kuzma has a lot to prove in the eyes of Milwaukee Bucks fans, especially since he is the main player the team traded franchise icon Khris Middleton for. However, his performance in his debut for the Bucks didn’t really help him win the hearts of Milwaukee supporters who have yet to move on from Middleton’s trade to the Washington Wizards.
The 29-year-old Kuzma came off the bench in Friday’s road game against the Atlanta Hawks and scored 12 points with seven rebounds and an assist. While his scoring and rebounding numbers in that contest aren’t exactly bad, he was inefficient on offense versus the Hawks. Kuzma shot just 4-for-13 from the field and split his two free throws. On top of those, he was a minus-15 in the 24 minutes he spent on the court.

Can Kyle Kuzma find his shooting touch with the Bucks eventually?
Giannis Antetokounmpo did not see action in the Hawks game due to a lower-body issue, which seemed to help Kuzma get ample minutes even though it was just his first time seeing action with his new team.
Kuzma is still trying to find his rhythm with Milwaukee but just based on his first game with the Bucks, it appears that he continues to deal with the same shooting issues he had with the Wizards this season. Before his trade to the Bucks, Kuzma shot just 42.0 percent from the floor and 28.1 percent from deep in the 2024-25 NBA campaign with the Wizards.
