Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard was among those who were deeply affected by the Khris Middleton-Kyle Kuzma trade. Lillard only got to be with Middleton for almost two years, and he wishes they had more time together alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The “Big 3” of Antetokounmpo, Lillard, and Middleton didn’t get to play much together under head coach Doc Rivers. Due to a mix of injuries and illnesses, they appeared in 18 games together this season and only five games after the NBA All-Star break last season.

“For us to never be healthy enough and just get a real run in… And then we come back in this season and he missed a lot of time, then in and out of the lineup, then I missed some time, Giannis missed time and now here we are at the deadline and he gets moved,” Lillard said via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“And you look back and it’s like man, we never really got that real shot and that real stretch to really go do what we had plans to do. It’s definitely disappointing and it’s unfortunate. But it’s part of the game, it’s part of this league sometimes that’s how goes and it doesn’t always go as planned,” he added.

Damian Lillard expected to play in the Milwaukee Bucks-Atlanta Hawks match

Damian Lillard is dealing with a sore left groin and has been given a probable label ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks-Atlanta Hawks game later.

The nine-time NBA All-Star recently put up 29 points, four rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals on 9-for-18 shooting from the field against the Charlotte Hornets last Wednesday.

He averages 25.0 points, 6.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals in 35.5 minutes across his two appearances against Atlanta this season.
