The Milwaukee Bucks will have another player joining Giannis Antetokounmpo in Utah this February. No one other than, Jrue Holiday!
Holiday is now a two-time All Star after first being an All Star all the way back in 2013 when he was a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. Bucks fans can expect Holiday to join Giannis on Team Giannis as Giannis will be able to draft players to his All-Star Team “Team Giannis” and will look to draft his teammate.
Do your thing Jrue Holiday
Holiday has easily been the second best player for the Bucks this season, averaging 19.4 points per game, 7.2 assists per game, 5.3 rebounds per game and 1.4 steals per game. The most points, rebounds, and assists he has averaged in his time with the Bucks. Holiday has always been a dominant force on the defensive end in his career (2x All-Defensive First Team, 2x All-Defensive Second Team) but this season he had to step up his offensive production with Khris Middleton being injured for most of this season.
Worth the Trade
Holiday has become one of the best guards in the Bucks history in his short three seasons with the team due to his elite point guard play, defensive energy, and leadership. The Bucks noticed that immediately giving Holiday an extension just five months after acquiring him. The contract he signed keeps him in Milwaukee through at least the 2023-24 season as he has a player option for the 2024-25 season.
Holiday once again will be a key member for the Bucks to get back to the NBA Finals this spring. And, if Holiday continues to succeed with his abilities, fans may see 21 in the rafters of the Fiserv Forum one day!
