Now with the news of MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers intending to play for the New York Jets (that everyone is probably sick of hearing about), the Green Bay Packers open a new era with starting QB Jordan Love. After over 30 years of quarterback greatness, the Packers hope that Love can be the face of the franchise. As fans see a new era begin, does Jordan Love have a lot of weight on his shoulders to carry this historic franchise?
The Rough Beginning
Jordan Love was drafted in 2020 by the Green Bay Packers. Fans were confused and angry with the pick. Why would they want to do this if the Packers have a Hall of Fame QB, and who gives us the best chance to win? This situation resembled when the Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers to replace Brett Favre in 2005—Packer fans and sports analysts immediately started rumors that Rodgers did not like Jordan or the organization. Love would also get criticized right away by fans for his rough 2019 stats. With 13 games, 3402 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions, fans wondered why the Packers “wasted a pick” on Jordan or even a QB.
The Three Backup

Jordan Love has had the best seat in the house, sitting behind four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. Love could pick his brain and learn from one of the best. Now, every young player wants to see the field and play, but history has proved that it takes a couple of years to become that guy in the tough league of the NFL. It took players like Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Trevor Lawrence a couple of years to figure everything out. Love will have to prove that he is the next guy in town.
It’s Time

Jordan Love will probably not be a first-ballot Hall of Famer like the two QBs before him. But who knows, maybe he will be. Love has been a professional when sitting behind Rodgers and waiting his turn. He is now the next man up. Love will have some growing pains along the way, of course, but some think he will never be good enough because he is following 30 years of greatness. Jordan will have the most demanding job in Green Bay and the NFL, proving that he can be that guy. The spotlight will be on him all of next year, and this is his time to confirm all the doubters/haters wrong.

It will interesting to see how quickly you will turn on Jordan love as you did on Roger’s. Additionally Roger’s is still under contract with the packers. If you and gudekrause can’t get over your ego, you could start Roger’s at Qb
I’m a packer fan a huge packet fan. I am sad to see Rodgers go but I was afraid to see Brett go also but it all turned out. I think if all fans are like me and think and belive that love is gonna step up. I belive he will do his job at 100%. He knows he’s got big shoes to fill. We just gotta let him do his job the best way he knows how. He’s darn nervous you know he is but arnt they all when they first start? I belive he’s gonna show us just what we have been waiting for. If the fans relax maybe he will feel more at home. I’m relaxed and ready to watch him do his very best..
That’s like going back to the year Favre went to the Jets and saying “Rodgers will never get a fair shot”. A load of bogus. In all the time spent writing this did you think of Rodgers proving your point wrong?
