Tom Brady is one of the most famous athletes in the world, and there was a recent study about America’s Favorite Athletes Across each state. The state of Wisconsin has had many great athletes throughout history, whether they are from there or have played professional sports there.

Some of the names that come to mind are Green Bay Packers legends Bart Starr, Aaron Rodgers, and Brett Favre. Milwaukee Bucks NBA Championship Giannis Antetokounmpo is another name that comes to mind, and another that comes to mind for the Milwaukee Brewers is Ryan Braun.

According to research. Tom Brady is America’s favorite NFL athlete and overall athlete. He dominated 45 of the 50 states in this research, including the state of Wisconsin. The only five states he was not the most famous athlete were in Wyoming, Ohio, California, Utah, and Washington.

    Tom Brady

Josh Allen, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, was the most favorite athlete in the state of Wyoming. This makes a ton of sense because he played quarterback at the University of Wyoming in college. Josh Allen has done a lot for that football program ever since leaving the university. He is also one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Lebron James is the most popular player in the NBA, and he is the most famous athlete in the states of California, Utah, and Washington. California makes sense because he lives there and also plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. It is intriguing how he landed. He is the most famous athlete in Utah and Washington, though.

What was surprising is that Lebron James was not the most famous athlete in the state of Ohio. It belonged to quarterback Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals. He started his collegiate career with the Ohio State Buckeyes before playing at LSU and winning a national title there in 2019. He has revived the Cincinnati Bengals franchise ever since and also resides in Athens, Ohio.

It is fascinating that Josh Allen and Joe Burrow appear to be more famous than Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes II. He is the best quarterback in the NFL at the moment, and Tom Brady could be considered the greatest of all-time considering the fact that he won seven titles, including winning one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 against the Kansas City Chiefs (Super Bowl LIV).

Tom Brady dominated the NFL for many years before retirement last season. This is the first year not playing in the NFL in quite some time. Some of this study was based on social media following. Tom Brady has the most social media followers in the NFL at 22.3 million, with a combination of Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Patrick Mahomes II has 9.4 million followers, and Joe Burrow has 4.8 million followers. Current New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not even in the Top 10 for social media following, which is interesting nonetheless. Here is the full chart of it:

The top three social media followers in the NBA were Lebron James of the Los Angeles Lakers at the top with 237.7 million views, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors was second on this list with 83.7 million views, and the third player on this list was Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant at 45.1 million views.

For the curiosity of the Wisconsin sports fan base, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks was ranked in the top 10 at number nine at 22.3 million followers.

The research was done by , and it conducted this research by using data from Google Trends, Ahrefs search volume, NFLPA, NBAStore, and social media platforms. The lead researcher commented:

“Our study provides a deep dive into the preferences of Americans when it comes to their favorite athletes. The dominance of the NFL and the NBA in the country is clear, and it’s fascinating to see how individual states have their favorites.”

In conclusion to this research they provided, Tom Brady was very famous in the state of Wisconsin, along with the other 44 states with it. Brady was more famous than Aaron Rodgers was. Lebron James is the second-most famous athlete in this research provided here also.
