The Green Bay Packers are entering the 2023 season with low expectations. It all begins on Sunday, September 10, when they go on the road at Solider Field in Chicago, Illinois, against the Chicago Bears. This season, the Packers will need to gain the respect of the public back after moving on from Aaron Rodgers and making Jordan Love the starting quarterback.
Not many on the outside are thinking they will be a playoff team this season, but could they possibly be? Green Bay has a favorable schedule for this season. What are potentially four of the bold predictions for this Packers football team entering the 2023 season?
Green Bay Packers Will Trade AJ Dillon For Jonathan Taylor

The Green Bay Packers were recently rumored as one of the teams in on running back Jonathan Taylor. Taylor played college football at Wisconsin with the Badgers, and he doesn’t want to play another down for the Indianapolis Colts franchise.
Landing Taylor in a trade would potentially boost the Packers’ offense. Having him and Aaron Jones in the backfield could be one of the best in the league. AJ Dillon is on an expiring contract. It would not make sense for Dillon to be the third running back on this roster. He has to be at least the second running back.
Also, the Colts have a very thin backfield without Jonathan Taylor to begin with. Dillon would become the number one back in Indianapolis, and he could maybe sign a long-term contract with them. It feels as if the Packers may not re-sign AJ Dillon anyway at the end of the season.
Green Bay Will Win the NFC North

Entering this season, a lot of people are doubting the Packers to make the playoffs. The Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions finished ahead of them in the NFC North Standings a season ago and feel like better football teams than the Green Bay Packers at the current moment.
However, we have to remember that the Lions are the Lions, after all, and they could crumble with high expectations. The Vikings won a ton of one-score games last season, and may not happen again this season after going 13-4.
Freddie Boston wrote in Lombardiave.com regarding the Packers winning the NFC North this season:
“Everyone was quick to write off the Packers after they traded away Aaron Rodgers. The Detroit Lions were the offseason darlings, while the Chicago Bears spent a lot of money to upgrade the league’s worst roster. But they disregard the talent Green Bay has. The defense features eight first-round picks and multiple All-Pros, including superstar cornerback Jaire Alexander.”
The Packers Will Have a Rookie Tight End Put Up 1,000 Yards

Wm. Glasheen USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin
The Green Bay Packers have two rookie tight ends on the roster, Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft. Musgrave is the number one tight end in the offense, and Kraft is the second tight end in this offense. Luke Musgrave is going to be the one that cracks the 1,000-yard mark this season.
Jordan Love is going to need reliable tight ends in this offense this season. Musgrave has all of the tools to be very good this season. Boston mentioned on Lombardiave.com:
“With his size, speed, and athleticism, Musgrave is already a mismatch, even if he still has areas to improve his game. As importantly, the Packers have no choice but to lean on him heavily this season. There is no Robert Tonyan or Marcedes Lewis in Green Bay anymore. Musgrave leads the tight end room, and with little expereince in the receiving corps, the ball will go the rookie’s way a lot.”
Jordan Love Will Finish as a Top 5 Quarterback in the NFC

The NFC isn’t loaded with talented quarterbacks like the AFC is. Some people believe that Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles is the best quarterback in the NFC by a mile. After that, spots 2-5 are wide open, and you can consider Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions and Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings.
Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys can be in that conversation also, but Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is going to wind up as a top-five quarterback in the NFC when this season ends. He has learned from Aaron Rodgers for three years and is ready to roll. Love is going to be a lot better than people think he will be.
