Head coach Matt LaFleur named four Green Bay Packers starters as non-participants at Wednesday’s practice. The Packers had several players battling injuries before their Week 1 contest against the Chicago Bears. They added a couple big-time injuries in Week 1 with linebacker Quay Walker and running back Aaron Jones.
On Monday, LaFleur said they still needed time to evaluate Jones’ hamstring injury. He also confirmed Walker was in the concussion protocol.
The Green Bay Packers name four as DNP Wednesday
According to Rob Demovsky with ESPN, LaFleur said Jones and Walker did not practice Wednesday. David Bakhtiari, who has a fluid practice schedule this year, missed Wednesday. Wide receiver Christian Watson is still missing practice due to his hamstring injury.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Bakhtiari, Jones, Qalker, Watson were all DNPs.
Doubs, Gary, Jenkins all limited.

Bakhtiari isn’t a name to worry about. But the other three could be. Walker cannot return until he passes all the phases of the concussion protocol. That’s entirely out of the staff’s hands.
Jones’ hamstring injury seems more severe than he let on in his interview after the game. Watson, who the Packers are trying to keep off injured reserve, isn’t closer to joining the offense on Sunday than he was last week.
At least on the injury report.
Watson’s injury is concerning for the Packers in Week 2. While the offense was able to play well against the Bears’ soft defense, the Falcons will provide a much different test for quarterback Jordan Love. They need more weapons on the field in Week 2.
