The Green Bay Packers are one of the most successful franchises in NFL history. That will come with as many supports as it will naysayers. That is especially true when the franchise undergoes a massive change (like trading Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers is back to back off-seasons).
Those who expect to see the Packers flounder after moves like that will come out in waves. That was certainly true for Richard Sherman, who was on record to say the Packers “won’t sniff a Super Bowl” with Jordan Love at quarterback. However, Sherman now has something else entirely to worry about.

According to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times:
A King County District Court judge found probable cause that former Seahawk star Richard Sherman was driving under the influence when he was arrested Saturday morning, a decision that will likely keep him in jail for the weekend.
Sherman is expected to have a court hearing Monday morning to address the conditions of his release from King County Jail, according to a statement from the prosecutor’s office Saturday afternoon. Bail had not yet been set, in part because he was booked over the weekend.
Records show Sherman, 35, was booked into the King County Jail at about 4:51 a.m. Saturday.
In an arrest report, a Washington State Patrol trooper wrote that Sherman was stopped around 2 a.m. on Interstate 405, just north of Northeast 44th Street in Renton, for going 79 mph in a 60 mph zone.

Rival fans rejoiced over the trade of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.
It is now Jordan Love’s turn to lead the offense for years to come, and 2023 didn’t disappoint. Former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman was vocal that the Packers’ front office made a mistake in trading Rodgers:
“I guarantee you every NFC North team is excited to see Jordan Love and ecstatic. I guarantee it,” Sherman said on his podcast. “Nobody will fear you going forward, understand that. There is not a game, somebody is going to see the Green Bay Packers in without Aaron Rodgers in a jersey and have fear for you.
So, congratulations on all your years of walking into stadiums and having one of the best players. You don’t have it anymore.”
“I don’t think Jordan Love is the quarterback of the future, Green Bay,” Sherman said. “You had a great quarterback for 30 years. Good job.
“Welcome to mediocrity.”
“They’re going to have postcards longing for Aaron Rodgers, four-time MVP. You will not sniff a Super Bowl.
Unfortunately for Sherman, the future looks brighter than ever in Green Bay.
