The Green Bay Packers have been linked with a potential blockbuster trade to get Cleveland Browns’ wantaway star Myles Garrett, and one insider believes that the team can pull it off.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, one anonymous GM claims that the Cleveland Browns could demand a package of one first-rounder, one second-rounder (or two third-rounders), and a key player for Garrett, making it doable in the eyes of Green Bay insider Matt Schneidman.
“It’s doable, especially if Brian Gutekunst wants to back up his statement about expecting to compete for a Super Bowl in 2025. Pass rush was inconsistent, hence DL coach firing. I’m sure fans would understand the Packers not having a first-round pick in the draft they’re hosting,” Schneidman posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay recently proposed that the Green Bay Packers will part ways with their no. 23, 54, and 87 picks in this summer’s NFL Draft for Myles Garrett, which is a win-win for Green Bay and Cleveland.
Green Bay Packers fans can’t believe the team is linked with Myles Garrett
Green Bay Packers fans would want the team to trade for Myles Garrett, especially with his Hall of Fame-worthy credentials, but they’re not sure whether the team will actually make it happen.
“There’s also the massive cap hit he’s going to cost someone to consider. Yes, we have room, but we have other holes to fill, too, if we truly want to be that contender, no?” said a fan on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“Idk about them trading a 1 for an old player. That doesn’t sound like this front office at all.”
“He fucking better. I don’t want Gutekunst to draft more projects & magically thinking it’ll work.”
“If the Packers traded for Myles Garrett and someone complained about not having a first cuz the draft was in Green Bay I would drive and smack them in the head myself,” another fan chimed in.
