Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave was limited in practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. His second season in the NFL has not gone as planned up to this point.
Musgrave was active for the game last week against the Los Angeles Rams, but he did not play a single snap in the game. Luke Musgrave is hoping to be active again this week and get more snaps this time around.
Season Stats For Green Bay Packers Luke Musgrave
This season, his production has dropped. He only has caught five passes for 22 yards receiving and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 4.4 yards per reception. Many thought Musgrave was going to have a bigger role with the offense this season but it has not turned out to be that way for the first five weeks of the season.
The Green Bay Packers will face the Arizona Cardinals this weekend. In order for Musgrave to see the field this week, he will need to practice again on Thursday and on Friday as well.
Tucker Kraft The Number One Tight End
This has been one of the biggest stories this season of the Packers offense. Tucker Kraft is a second-year tight end also and has emerged as the number one tight end. He has caught 16 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns, along with averaging 13.6 yards per reception.
Kraft has been targeted 22 times this season. He will be the number one tight end unless he gets hurt. Musgrave is a reliable second option at tight end for the Packers. At some point, he will need to bounce back from injuries and prove himself.
