Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love threw a career-high 322 yards and also threw for two touchdown passes in a 23-20 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He threw the game-winning 24-yard touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs in the fourth quarter for Green Bay.
Love also completed 27-of-40 passes in this contest, and Doubs also caught five passes for 53 yards receiving and a score. This was the second consecutive game that Jordan Love has shown major progress. When targeting Doubs this season, Love’s passer rating is 97.2.
Jordan Love, the week before against the Pittsburgh Steelers, completed 21-of-40 passes for 289 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. So far this season, he has completed 59.7% of his passes for 2,331 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Love this year has only thrown for two touchdowns and five interceptions this season when targeting him. When targeting Dontayvion Wicks, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, or anyone else, he has thrown for 14 touchdowns and five interceptions.

It was great that Love was able to have his career high in passing yards against the second-worst defense in the NFL entering Sunday. Love needs to repeat what he did on Sunday on a short week on the road against a divisional rival. The last time Love faced Detroit this season, he completed 23-of-36 passes for 246 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

If he is able to play well for the third consecutive game against a quality opponent, then the Packers may have something moving forward with Jordan Love. Green Bay currently owns the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. They could build around Love for the future. It appears as if his first half slumps are over but time will tell.
