Green Bay Packers: Jordan Love Protector Sends Blunt 2-Word Warning to Rest of NFL After Surprising 2023 Season

The 2024 NFL season will hit differently for the Green Bay Packers. The expectations for the Packers are surely going to be higher this time around. Jordan Love showed that he can handle the business well under center. He’s not Aaron Rodgers yet, but he proved that he’s a quarterback with the potential to become a legitimate franchise cornerstone. In other words, the Packers are now on everybody’s radar. For Green Bay guard Sean Rhyan, it’s about time the rest of the NFL pay close attention to his team (h/t Rob Demovsky of ESPN).

“I think as a whole, and I think everyone saw it, we were grooving, moving, having a good time out there, so next year is going to be real exciting,” guard Sean Rhyan said. “I think everyone’s kind of interested in what the Green Bay Packers are going to be like next year, and all I can say is, ‘Get ready.'”

Green Bay Packers Poised to take the Next Step  in 2024

When Rodgers and the Packers parted ways in the 2023 offseason, many thought that it would signal the start of a true downfall for the NFC North division franchise. Instead, the Packers did better in the 2023 campaign than in the last year of Rodgers in Green Bay. In 2022, the Packers went just 8-9 and missed the playoffs. With Love as the full-time starter, the Packers went 9-8 and even embarrassed the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL playoffs before getting humbled by eventual NFC champions San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.

Notwithstanding the loss to the Niners, the Packers have set a higher bar for them going forward. With Love now with a season’s worth of experience as a starter, the expectation is that Green Bay will be a much more dangerous team in 2024. It remains to be seen whether the Packers can actually take that next step, but that’s an exciting thought for their fans, to say the least.
