Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been on a tear lately. While the first half of the season saw a mixed bag of results, Love has looked very comfortable the last three weeks. It is no accident that as Love has become more comfortable in the offense, the team has started winning. His recent stat lines have him on the cusp of Packers history.
Jordan Love has 4 games with 3 or more TD passes and 0 INTs.
5 is…kind of a big deal.
Former Packers QBs to have 5 or more:
Rodgers, 10, 2020 (MVP)
Rodgers, 8, 2014 (MVP)
Rodgers, 6, 2016 (Run the Table)
Rodgers, 5, 2021 (MVP)
Rodgers, 5, 2011 (MVP)
Favre, 5, 1995 (MVP)— Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) December 6, 2023
Green Bay Packers Jordan Love On The Cusp Of History
Through 12 games, Love has four games with three touchdowns and no interceptions. If he gets to five he would join a very exclusive list of Packers quarterbacks to accomplish this feat. Aaron Rodgers has done it five times in 2011, 2014, 2016, 2020, 2021. Brett Favre did it once in 1995. That is the list. Every season except one, the quarterback won MVP. This shows how well Love is playing right now. While I don’t believe he should be in the MVP conversation, it shows the level that he is playing at.
Can He Get This Team To The Playoffs?
The schedule is definitely kind to the Packers. The last five games are all against teams that do not have a winning record right now. If Love can keep playing at this level, no doubt the Packers will have a great chance at winning those games. It would be quite a feat for Love to lead this team to the playoffs in his first year as the starter. Regardless of whether that happens or not, the Packers seem to have found their quarterback of the future. That makes this season a success in and of itself.
It has been fun to watch the Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love these last three games. The playoff push begins now with a trip to the New York Giants on Sunday.
