The Green Bay Packers have been making changes to their coaching staff at the beginning of the offseason. They are moving towards hiring younger coaches, which the fans have well received. On Saturday, it was officially announced that the Packers had brought on board a new coach for their offense.
Green Bay Packers Hire Sean Mannion
Former NFL QB Sean Mannion is retiring after nine seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and Minnesota Vikings. The Green Bay Packers have hired him onto the offensive staff for the 2024 season.
I’ve heard from several people over the last few years who said Mannion was destined to eventually coach because of his intelligence and understanding of the game. He’ll get that start in Green Bay after finishing last season on the Seahawks’ practice squad.

Though Mannion didn’t have a very successful playing career, he’s known to have a high football IQ with a Wonderlic score of 40 and has been perceived as a future coach for some time.
