The Green Bay Packers are currently trailing the Philadelphia Eagles 10-0 in the third quarter of their Wild Card matchup. The first half of the game was quite frustrating and forgettable as Green Bay turned the ball over three times.
Keisean Nixon fumbled the opening kickoff, which led to an Eagles touchdown. Packers quarterback Jordan Love threw two interceptions in the first half on passes that left many fans confused. His first was on a pass to Dontayvion Wicks, who was heavily covered by Philadelphia star cornerback Darius Slay. His second skyed over his target and into the hands of former Wisconsin Badgers linebacker Zack Baun.
Unfortunately, Green Bay will be without two of their starting players for the rest of the game due to injuries.
The Green Bay Packers Will Be Without Elgton Jenkins and Devonte Wyatt for the Rest of the Game vs the Philadelphia Eagles
After halftime was over, the Packers announced that starting left guard Elgton Jenkins and starting defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt will not return to the game against the Eagles in the second half:
#Packers injury update: G/T Elgton Jenkins (shoulder) and DL Devonte Wyatt (lower leg) are both out. #GBvsPHI
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) January 12, 2025
Jenkins took a helmet to his shoulder on a play in the first half and suffered a stinger. Wyatt suffered a lower leg injury.
The loss of Jenkins has been especially costly. Head coach Matt LaFleur first tried to replace him with rookie Travis Glover, who promptly committed three penalties. He was flagged once for being an illegal man down field and then for two holding penalties.
Glover was then replaced by Kadeem Telfort.
