If there is a question whether the Green Bay Packers made significant gains during the offseason of 2024 or not, just look at the latest Pro Football Focus Top 101 Players List.
The team has three players on the list after having just one in quarterback Jordan Love the season before.
Safety Xavier McKinney, running back Josh Jacobs, and offensive tackle Zach Tom all made the list made by PFF. The list is made to highlight the top individual performances of the last season based on the belief that “all positions are equal.”
Love is unranked for the 2024 after finishing 89th overall in 2023.
McKinney and Jacobs both got recognized for their performances by the league as they were both named to the Pro Bowl team. McKinney also named to the First Team All-Pro.
“The former New York Giant picked off eight passes in 2024, which tied with Kerby Joseph for the most in the NFL. McKinney’s 90.2 coverage grade trailed only Joseph among all safeties as well,” the PFF said about McKinney who is on his first season with the Packers.

From having to having three players on the list is an amazing feat. What made it more impressive is that two of them were not even ranked by the data-driven American football website.
McKinney is ranked 56th from last season’s 57. Jacobs was no in their radar but cracked the Top 40 after getting tagged as the 34th best performer.
Tom, who did not have any individual away for 2024, is no. 58.
PFF said Tom is the fourth most valuable player in his position.
“Tom’s 85.8 PFF grade was sixth among all offensive tackles in the league while his 87.8 run-blocking grade (including postseason) trailed only Jordan Mailata and Penei Sewell. He finished the year as the fourth-most-valuable tackle in the league according to our wins above replacement metric.”
