After a night that included 34 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists before fouling out, Giannis Antetokounmpo was the main charge that led the Milwaukee Bucks to their 126-119 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night at Fiserv Forum.
With this win, the Bucks have secured the season series win against the Pacers, finishing 3-1. This comes just days after Milwaukee was handed a heartbreaking loss by Indiana.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Dominates for Milwaukee Bucks

Prior to being fouled out in the fourth quarter, Milwaukee’s MVP was electric on the court. Antetokounmpo was named the Potawatomi Player of the Game with 34 points on an incredible 74% shooting.

Other leading scorers for the Bucks include Damian Lillard with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists and Kevin Porter Jr. with 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
Taurean Prince and Porter went 4 of 4 on free-throw attempts, further securing the Bucks’ win. The Pacers did try to make a comeback with a little over 10 minutes left, cutting the lead to 122-119 on an Andrew Nembhard three-pointer.
The Race is On

With Saturday’s victory, the Bucks now have a one-game lead over Indiana in the race for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings and home-court advantage in the first round of playoffs. There is also a tiebreaker; the division record. As it stands, the Bucks trail the Pacers by one game after tonight’s win, but this is something the team is familiar with.
While the Bucks were able to snatch up that fourth spot last year, they would lose to the Pacers. Mind you, they were also without Giannis Antetokounmpo for the entire series, and both Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton were playing through injuries, so they weren’t at 100%.
This win comes just four nights after Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton made a four-point play with 3.4 seconds in the game to give the Pacers a 115-114 victory over Milwaukee. Haliburton had 24 points and 15 assists on Saturday, matching his season high.
On the season, Haliburton has 68 total points and 41 total assists. The Oshkosh native has been a threat to the Bucks all season but at the end of the day, Milwaukee got the upper hand in winning the season series.
The Bucks are now sitting at 38-28 on the season. They will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday with a tip-off scheduled for 8:00PM. The last time these two met was in February, where the Thunder defeated Milwaukee 125-99. OKC is coming off a 113-107 against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night, and are playoffs bound after defeating the Boston Celtics just three days ago.
