Former Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Hunter Renfroe was surprisingly placed on waivers by the Los Angeles Angels a few days ago. Waivers have since processed and he is now returning to the National League Central division as a member of the Cincinnati Reds.

Hunter Renfroe has been claimed by the Cincinnati Reds and will now attempt to help them catch the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central division.
In addition to adding Hunter Renfroe the Cincinnati Reds also claimed outfielder Harrison Bader. Milwaukee Brewers fans will remember him most for his days with the St.Louis Cardinals, but he was dealt at the 2022 trade deadline in exchange for starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery.
This year Renfroe is putting together a solid season in which he has 19 home runs and a 97 OPS+. Bader has been injured this season and through 84 games played he has a 75 OPS+.
These two veteran outfielders should both see time in the lineup. Injuries are continuing to plague the Reds in which Jake Fraley, Joey Votto, Matt McClain, and Jonathan India are all on the IL. They will have their work cutout for them as the Reds currently trail the Brewers by six games in the National League Central division standings, but they are just one game out of a Wild Card spot.
