The Milwaukee Bucks had a road game on Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets. Entering the game, the Nets have yet to win a game in 2024. This was a game that the Bucks needed to win on the road.
All of that did not go to plan as the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by a final score of 115-102. With the win, Brooklyn improved to 1-2 on the year and Milwaukee dropped to 1-2 on the year.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans Are Upset Over the Loss Against the Brooklyn Nets
The Bucks have high expectations this season. Milwaukee did not play well against the Chicago Bulls in the previous game. Losing to the Nets and the Bulls early in the season is a potential cause for concern later in the 2024-2025 NBA season.
It is not going to get any easier for the Bucks as they will face the Boston Celtics on Monday night. Here is what the Bucks fans had to say on Twitter about the loss:
Embarrassing loss. Trading away Jrue was a big mistake. Cost the Bucks their defense and depth.

I said it all off-season the roster was still trash. When you have to hype up Delon Wright, Taurean Prince and Gary Trent…you’re in trouble. They are obviously better with Middleton but can’t expect him to save them

Bucks got big issues 🤷🏻♂️ getting beat back to back by the Bulls and Nets is about as bad as it gets. Those should be layup wins. But watch they beat Boston tomorrow that would just be how it goes in this league at times

Team is old. Need to start playing some young guys. Andre JACKSON preferably

Yikes. . .
Huge fan of the Bucks. Front is office working hard, team is talented, they brought a championship home in 21’. Could use a P.J. Tucker type player imo. Need that court & locker room edge – Boston game will be interesting.— Pantherfan (@uwpanthers) October 28, 2024
Some of the blame for the Bucks’ start in the 2024-2025 season goes to general manager Jon Horst. He could have addressed the youth issue in the 2024 NBA Draft, but he decided to draft long-term projects instead of players who could help the team now.
Stats For the Game
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks in scoring with 22 points. He also grabbed 12 rebounds and recorded seven assists. Antetokounmpo was only held to four points at halftime and was better in the second half. Damian Lillard scored 21 points, grabbed four rebounds, and recorded four assists. They will need more help from other parts of the roster moving forward.
The Bucks let Cam Thomas of the Brooklyn Nets score 32 points and Dennis Schroder score 29. Thomas is a talented scorer who will get lots of playtime because of how thin the roster is. Schroder has been a journeyman in the NBA. If Milwaukee doesn’t get it together soon, the fanbase will continue to be upset.
