The Milwaukee Bucks will begin the 2024-2025 NBA season on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night with tipoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. Both teams this season will be under pressure to perform.
Last season, the Bucks finished with a 49-33 record. As for the 76ers, they finished with a 47-35 record. Both of these teams will try to catch the Boston Celtics this season.
Projected Starting Lineups In the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers Contest
The lineups for both teams in this game will be very different. For the Milwaukee Bucks, Brook Lopez, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tauren Prince, Gary Trent Jr., and Damian Lillard are the projected starters for this contest. There will be no Khris Middleton for Milwaukee. Prince was signed as a free agent this offseason and so was Trent Jr.
As for the Philadelphia 76ers, the projected starters will be Andre Drummond, Caleb Martin, Kelly Oubre, Eric Gordon, and Tyrese Maxey. Paul George and Joel Embiid are both out for this game for Philadelphia against Milwaukee due to injury.
Maxey could play a big role for the 76ers offense. Drummond and Gordon would be players who would usually come off the bench for Philadelphia, but injuries pushed them into the starting lineup.
Coaches
This is going to be a big season for Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers. Rivers became the head coach for the Bucks during the middle of the 2023-2024 season for Adrian Griffin Jr. The team didn’t perform as great when he became the coach. They will need to be better to start the 2024-2025 NBA season under him.
As for the Philadelphia 76ers, Nick Nurse enters his second season as the head coach of this team after being with the Toronto Raptors for several seasons. Injuries could be the only thing that derails this basketball team. Joel Embiid not being in the lineup is a huge loss for them.
