Green Bay Packers fans wished left tackle David Bakhtiari a speedy recovery after news came out of his fourth surgery since he tore his ACL in the 2020 season. On Wednesday, the Packers ruled Bakhtiari out for his third straight game. The Packers sent Bakhtiari to injured reserve Thursday.
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Bakhtiari had arthroscopic knee surgery on Wednesday. Bakhtiari will have another surgery shortly. The Packers hope he can play at full strength during the 2024 season.

The surgery news is a frustrating setback for Bakhtiari. He has not been consistently healthy since the December 2020 injury. Hopefully, the new medical procedures will allow Bakhtiari to play healthy for a full season in 2024.
Rapoport reported Bakhtiari does not intend to retire.

I love Bakhtiari, and he is one of the best. I think some fans anger is more at the contract. Imagine the money in FA the Packers could have spent. 13 games in 3 years is a waste of 20 some mil per year. That part sucks, but wish him the best. Packers cannot keep paying that.
