Well, Packers fans, we’ve officially seen the last of Davante Adams in Green Bay. The five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is trading in his green and gold for black and silver.

On Thursday, news broke that the 29-year-old had been traded to Las Vegas. Allegedly, the Packers offered him more money the Raiders did, but he turned the offer down. With his blockbuster new deal – five years, $141.25 million – Davante will be the highest-paid WR in the NFL. In return, the Packers are receiving two high draft picks, one in both the first and second rounds, as well as potential player(s).

Immediately, fans began speculating about Aaron Rodgers’ reaction to losing his favorite receiver. But while #12 has remained silent so far, many of Tae’s teammates have spoken out on social media. From shock to enthusiasm, here’s what Packers players have expressed.

Happy for Tae and his family! More than deserved. As a fan of this game, I'm also excited to see who grows & develops to be the next guy. That's the beauty of the NFL. https://t.co/2TPrgmKmdr

To be effective in combat, a warrior must not feel for his enemy. Close your heart to their desperation. Close your heart to their suffering. The road ahead is long and unforgiving, no place for a boy, you must be a warrior. – Kratos

As evidenced by their tweets, Davante’s teammates will certainly miss having him on their sideline. It will be a bittersweet goodbye for Packers fans as well. But, all good things must come to an end. Thanks for all the memories, #17.
