First Date for HBO Hard Knocks Featuring the Jets Announced
Will the New York Jets End Their Playoff Drought?
One of the first things that will be asked is whether the New York Jets will finally end their playoff drought this season. “Hard Knocks” features teams during the preseason that have not made the playoffs over the past few years. New York last made it during the 2010 regular season, when they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game.
This is why they traded for quarterback Aaron Rodgers; to get them back to the postseason and end that drought. It will be interesting to see whether they live up to the hype.
No Shortage of Aaron Rodgers Headlines
When “Hard Knocks” premieres, one of the things to watch for is what kind of drama quarterback Aaron Rodgers will provide. Hewill say some interesting things to his teammates during practice. Rodgers is not known for working well with young wide receivers, but Garrett Wilson will be the top wide receiver for the New York Jets this season.
They should have an elite offense this season. It will be interesting to see what Aaron Rodgers does throughout training camp.
How Does Robert Saleh Handle the Media?
Everyone knows that the New York media is completely ruthless, and there is no room to breathe in that media market. Head coach Robert Saleh will have to present himself well to the media. “Hard Knocks” usually films the head coaches talking to the media after games, after practices, etc.
This will be the most interesting “Hard Knocks” in years. A lot of NFL fans a season ago loved Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell on the show and it will be interesting to see how people view New York Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh on it this year.
