Milwaukee Brewers continue to pile up with Aaron Civale being the latest one to be added to the injury list. Manager Pat Murphy thinks the Spring Training has a lot to do with the injuries they are dealing with.

The team is already dealing with injuries to Brandon Woodruff, Tyler Black, Aaron Ashby, DL Hall, and Tobias Myers before the Civale news.
The team is now 0-4 and are struggling offensively, having been blown big time in the last three losses.
“We’re in a real decimated spot and we’ve another great team, a playoff team, coming in,” he told reporters on Monday.

The pitching department is the one getting the most attention after they allowed 17 home runs in the first four games.
Overall, the team don’t appear competitive and it might have a lot to do with the injury to key players.
Pat Murphy thinks Spring Training poses threat to players health
This is not just Murphy looking for something to blame. He has one meeting in Dallas and stats to back it up.
“At the Winter Meetings in Dallas, MLB showed us the amount of pitching injuries in Spring Training, and it was my biggest takeaway from the Meetings,” he said.
“There’s 90 percent more likelihood that a guy gets injured in the offseason or Spring Training than during the regular season. I couldn’t believe that. And sure enough, it happened to us.”

He also has questions about how to deal with the Spring Training.
“How do we keep this from happening in spring and in the offseason programs? How do we monitor the offseason training better? Was it better in the old days when they didn’t pick up a ball until January, or what we’re doing now, where they take a couple of weeks off and then they start to go and build up?
