Sammy Watkins found a new team quickly
The Green Bay Packers have a healthy core of wide receivers heading into Week 16. They might even have another wide receiver on the roster which currently plays defense. The Packers were so stacked at receiver that they released Sammy Watkins to sign another running back to the team. Watkins didn’t last long on the market.
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Watkins was claimed by the Baltimore Ravens Tuesday.
#Ravens WR Devin Duvernay left practice today with a foot injury and there is concern it could be significant, per sources. He’s undergoing tests now.

The Ravens are currently the number one AFC Wild Card team with a 9-5 record. They are one game behind the Cincinnati Bengals for the AFC North division lead. The Ravens have had several injuries on the offense this season, including their quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Per Pelissero’s report, wide receiver Devin Duvernay was injured in practice Tuesday. The Ravens have Rashod Bateman and Tylan Wallace on injured reserve. Watkins can probably snag more targets with the Ravens come playoff time than he would have in a full Packers lock room.
