Could the Packers have found another wide receiver?
The Green Bay Packers finally had a healthy crew at wide receiver for their win over the Los Angeles Rams Monday night. It was so stacked the Packers cut Sammy Watkins hours before the game so they could sign a third running back to the roster. Head coach Matt LaFleur suggested Tuesday in his press conference that the Packers could have another wide receiver on their roster.
According to Matt Schneidman with The Atheltic, LaFleur said Keisean Nixon wants to play slot receiver.
LaFleur says Keisean Nixon has been campaigning to play slot — not slot corner, but slot receiver.

Nixon is currently a cornerback. That’s what he played in college and in the NFL with the Las Vegas Raiders. However, he’s shown a gift when the ball is in his hands. Nixon’s return efforts against the Rams were a big factor in the Packers’ win over the Rams Monday.
It’s something the Packers shouldn’t hesitate to try. Nixon will likely be kept on the roster in the future because of his dangerous return skills. But he’s not likely to see much action on the defense. The Packers might be able to get some use out of his vision and legs with the offense. Nixon could help in the pinch if another receiver goes down this season.
