The Milwaukee Brewers announced their 2023 team award winners as selected by the Milwaukee Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA) on Monday morning. William Contreras unanimously voted team MVP and Top Newcomer. William Contreras was acquired by the Brewers from the Atlanta Braves in a three-team trade back in December of 2022 and played in a career-high 141 games, 137 of those being starts. The Milwaukee Bucks kicked off their 2023-2024 preseason on Sunday afternoon on Fiserv Forum, welcoming their I-94 rival, the Chicago Bulls. The Bucks came out victorious, skidding by with a 105-102 win in manager Adrian Griffin’s managerial debut with Milwaukee. Lillard was traded to the Bucks on Sept. 27 as part of a three-team deal that took Grayson Allen to the Phoenix Suns and Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers, to then be traded to the Boston Celtics just a couple of days later.
