Bucks

The now (35-21) Milwaukee Bucks lost to the now (20-36) Memphis Grizzlies Thursday Night on the road at the FedExForum (113-110). It was one of the better “passing games” the Bucks have had in a while. Yet their good teamwork simply wasn’t enough. The “veteran” 4th quarter comeback fell short. Memphis won last night against the Rockets at home (121-113). They played with amazing energy for having been on a back-to-back. Memphis, to start the 3rd quarter, was 11/11 from the field. They just couldn’t miss! The Bucks were  42-90 (46.7%) from the field. They ended the game with 44…

Milwaukee’s Last Game Before the All-Star Break The (35-20) Milwaukee Bucks take on the (19-36) Memphis Grizzlies Thursday Night on the road at the FedExForum. This is the first time these teams have played this season. They will meet again in Milwaukee on April 3rd. The game will be broadcast nationally on TNT.  The Bucks are coming off a tough loss to the Heat that had Bucks Twitter ablaze with “hot takes” on how much better Jrue Holiday is than Damian Lillard. Again, as a reminder to those “fans”, the Bucks gave up Jrue Holiday, Grayson Allen, and the 2029…

The Milwaukee Bucks are on a tough back-to-back The (35-19) Milwaukee Bucks take on the (28-25) Miami Heat Tuesday Night at home at the Fiserv. Tip time is 7:00 CST. The Bucks won an exciting game one (122-114) vs Miami on Oct. 30th. Of course, that feels like light-years ago (10/30). Then Milwaukee went on to defeat Miami (131-124) in game two of the season series.  This will be the final time this year these two teams square off unless they meet again in the NBA playoffs. Milwaukee Bucks: “Possessions of Progress” for the team  Every offensive and defensive possession for the Milwaukee Bucks seems to have a renewed sense of purpose. Former Bucks and current broadcaster Marques Johnson spoke to this a little tonight during the game. Man, the Bucks look good. It took a second but the Doc Rivers defense seems to be here and after only giving up 84 points in a win to Charlotte, and now 95 points to the reigning NBA Champions Denver Nuggets, things are looking good. This was a good win. The now (35-19) Milwaukee Bucks defeated the now (36-18)…

A Possible Preview of the NBA 2024 Finals The (34-19) Milwaukee Bucks take on the (36-17) Denver Nuggets on Monday night at home at the Fiserv Forum. The Bucks are (22-6) at home. Milwaukee won Friday night at home (120-84). The Bucks looked really strong Friday night! They beat a Charlotte team that is trending downwards but still, it was great to have such a strong defensive effort.  For Milwaukee Khris Middleton will not play.  Milwaukee has three games before the all-star break. The game will feature the two leading candidates for MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo (+900) and Nikola Jokic…

The Milwaukee Bucks Win The now (34-19) Milwaukee Bucks defeated the (10-41) Charlotte Hornets at home on Friday Night (120-84). It was the best defensive effort the Bucks have had all year.  Sure, it helped that Hornet star LaMelo Ball did not play. Still, Milwaukee took control early and played with a stronger sense of urgency. The Bucks had an impressive defensive effort in the first half holding the Hornets to 38 points. Milwaukee led 66-38 at the intermission. This was the largest margin of victory Milwaukee has had all season. (36+/-) The Bucks were  41-94 (43.6%) from the field.…

Milwaukee Bucks vs Charlotte Hornets Preview- Friday Night NBA Action The (33-19) Milwaukee Bucks take on the (10-40) Charlotte Hornets at home at the Fiserv Forum: the beer keg in downtown Milwaukee! The place should be rockin’. The Bucks are on a back-to-back, having been rolled last night by the Minnesota Timberwolves (129-105). It was a loss that prompted NBA “guru” Bill Simmons to tweet that the Bucks needed to hit the panic button. https://twitter.com/BillSimmons/status/1755794172618170715 However, hope is on the way. The Bucks have looked to upgrade their defense and backup point guard position by adding Patrick Beverly. (“Pat Bev”…

Game 1 in the two-game series between Minnesota and Milwaukee The (33-18) Milwaukee Bucks take on the (33-18) Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday night in downtown Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum: the good ole “beer keg”. The Bucks are (1-4) under new Head Coach Doc Rivers. The team is coming off one of its longest road trips of the season. They could use this one in the worst way. They are currently the third seed in the Eastern Conference after having been pretty much the number two seed all year. (The Cavs are 33-16). Milwaukee is (21-5) at home. Minnesota is only…

Who Might the Milwaukee Bucks Look to Add? First off, the Milwaukee Bucks do not have a ton of valuable trade assets to be able to make a big move. More and more it looks like fan favorite Bobby Portis might be on the table. Any “big” Bucks trade appears to require him.  Should the Milwaukee Bucks trade Portis for Grant Williams, a similar power forward in Dallas? Could Milwaukee get Dallas to throw in a first-round pick as well, and then flip that pick and a player for a good defensive perimeter player?  Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports reported…
