The Packers have many offseason questions, especially for some free-agent players. One of the players hitting free agency is WR Allen Lazard. While Lazard has been an integral part of the offense for the last couple of seasons, the fact of the matter is that he may become too expensive to keep. Lazard should have many suitors and one analyst thinks that the New Orleans Saints would be a perfect fit.

Allen Lazard Free Agency
Lazard is 27 years old making him a very attractive target for many teams. The Saints have a great young receiving room with Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. They can now look to add a veteran presence to the room. Lazard would bring size and physicality to the Saints that they were missing last season. While there is some question on who will be throwing the ball for the Saints next season, that shouldn’t deter them from spending. Lazard also probably will not cost an arm and a leg. While he will fetch a good price, he shouldn’t be paid like a top receiver in the league.
How Big Of A Loss For The Packers?
It’s always tough to see a player go especially one who has been so productive for the Packers. However, the Packers have their own pair of productive young receivers. Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson look to be the future of the Packers’ receiving room. While they could also use some veteran talent, GM Brian Gutekunst may try to acquire that through trade or a cheaper option through free agency.
There is always a chance that Allen Lazard stays with the Packers but it is doubtful. Hopefully, the Packers will be able to bring in some veteran help so the young receivers can continue to develop.
