There was a bombshell report about Aaron Rodgers and his relationship with the Green Bay Packers front office. While a lot of it was confirming what was already rumored, hearing it straight from the mouth of Rodgers is helpful. This does continue a disturbing trend. Rodgers is the second former player to call out the Green Bay Packers front office over poor communication.
Aaron Rodgers And The Green Bay Packers Front Office
Earlier this month, it was Davante Adams. While initially, it was about wanting to be closer to family, he talked about how money and poor communication were a big part of wanting to leave as well. Rodgers has famously talked about how Brian Gutekunst did not communicate well though some of Rodgers’ stories tend to contradict themselves. Regardless, these are two high-profile players that are claiming the front office does not communicate well. Should the Packers be worried about this?

Is This A Concern?
Here’s the concern. The Green Bay Packers get a rep for being a team that is difficult to work with and players do not want to come to Green Bay. However, I don’t see any other examples of this besides Rodgers and Adams. No other players have come out and talked about being disgruntled. The team has taken care of their own in the past decade like David Bakhtiari, Kenny Clark, and many more. What this situation feels like is a product of the player empowerment era. Rodgers and Adams were hoping to take control of the organization and the Green Bay Packers front office said no.
Interestingly enough, both players are in much more interesting situations than they were in Green Bay. The Raiders situation has quickly evolved into a complete mess and the Jets are always a wild card. Green Bay has had success in the past 30 years because they do not let players run the organization. This communication issue is something to address but ultimately the Packers should be fine moving forward.

Consider the two who are complaining…best friends who wanted to stay together. Because they are “stars” they wanted to get their own way. They forget it’s still a business too.
I’ve lived in Wisconsin most of my life and I love Green Bay but, “Gutey” is an Egoist in pursuit of his own glory, so he got rid of the two guys who were casting shadows on him.
You’re in the light now, Buddy! Enjoy it if you can because this year is going to be a DISASTER!
