Packers’ David Bakhtiari missed practice Friday
Starting left tackle for the Green Bay Packers’ David Bakhtiari, has had a tough couple of years after he sustained an ACL injury. Bakhtiari has not been a guaranteed starter for the Packers three surgeries later. He missed several games early in the season as he rehabbed his knee. Head coach Matt LaFleur said Bakhtiari would be day-to-day for the rest of the season with his knee.
Then Bakhtiari had an appendectomy in Week 13. He’s missed the Packers previous two games since he had the procedure on his appendix. Bakhtiari missed all three practices this week before the Packers play one of their most challenging games of the season, the Miami Dolphins, on Christmas. The Packers need to win to stay in the playoff chase.
Many Packers fans have grown tired of Bakhtiari’s instability. He’s an expensive asset for the Packers to keep on the sideline. Bakhtiari wrote a Tweet Friday that summed his feelings about his struggles this season:
“Tough times don’t last, tough people do,” he wrote.
Tough times don’t last, tough people do. #dailyreminder

Those are good words to live by. Bakhtiari has been solid when he’s been able to be on the field this season. Bakhtiari will recover from his appendectomy. He was showing signs of improvement with his knee before his appendectomy. Bakhtiari should be a solid lineman for the Packers next season if they choose to keep him. It seems like Bakhtiari has a positive attitude about that right now.
