The Marquette Golden Eagles have recently taken a couple of significant blows in terms of what their 2024-25 roster will look like. This is after Tyler Kolek and Oso Ighodaro both declared for the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft.
It’s not all bad news for Marquette, though, with star guard Kameron Jones deciding to stay with the Golden Eagles for at least one more season.
Marquette Golden Eagles News: Kameron Jones Is Staying Home
Jones, who averaged 17.2 points on 50.1 percent shooting, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.6 triples per game this past season, took to Twitter on Thursday to announce his decision to stay on for one more year:

The Golden Eagles will find it difficult to replace the production of Kolek and Ighodaro, who are both now NBA-bound. However, the fact that they will have their best scorer back for next term is an undeniably massive boost for the program.
Joining Jones in next season’s roster will be the likes of David Joplin, Ben Gold, Stevie Mitchell, and Chase Ross, to name a few.
According to reports, Jones was projected to be a late-first-round or early-second-round pick in the draft had he decided to declare. It appears that the 6-foot-4 guard intends to use his senior year in college to potentially up his stock ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft next summer.
