In an exclusive interview with Wisconsin Sports Heroics, Wisconsin football target Jack Janda talked his recruitment.
Janda, a three-star tight end from Michigan in the 2026 class, was recently offered a scholarship by the Wisconsin football staff. Janda has been a highly recruited member of the 2026 class, pulling in 19 scholarship offers already. During the interview, Janda broke down his offers and where some of the big schools rank on his current list.
Wisconsin Football Target Jack Janda Opens Up About Recruitment Experiences
Following a recent conversation, the Wisconsin football staff has offered a scholarship to 2026 three-star tight end Jack Janda. Janda, a Michigan native, currently holds a crystal ball prediction to land with Michigan, but states, “I’m definitely keeping my options open right now. I still have a while to go in my recruitment.”
As big as an offer as Michigan was to the hometown native, Janda is determined to find the right school through his recruitment. Janda has expressed interest in Alabama and Stanford, as well as the Wisconsin football program. The tight end wants to find his true fit on the field, and with the way Wisconsin uses tight ends, Janda just might find a home in Madison.
Jack Janda: “Fickell Is a Great Coach and So Is Coach Letton”
When talking about the Wisconsin football staff, Janda made it clear that he loved the energy and attitude that the staff provided. In particular, Janda stated, “I think [Wisconsin] is great. Fickell is a great coach and so is Coach Letton.”
Janda went on to also state, “Wisconsin uses their tight ends a lot and they have a really cool fan base and campus. I’m excited to build a relationship with them.” Wisconsin is one of the newest programs to recruit Janda, but seems to be placing themselves in great standing.
When it comes to the football field, there has been clear reasons why the Wisconsin football staff has chosen Janda. The versatile tight end stands in at 6-foot-6-inches, 230-pounds, and steps onto the field looking to make a play. When asked what type of offense he sees himself in, Janda stated, “A tight end centered offense. I want to be able to block and catch the ball and just make plays.”

While Janda has a handful of offers and also a deep interest in his hometown school, Michigan, the tight end has still kept his recruitment open. Janda acknowledged the crystal ball prediction he holds for Michigan, but stated it is still “early” and he would like to fully experience recruitment before making a decision.
Janda expressed interest in both Alabama and Stanford, two programs that have just recently began to initiate contact. The tight end is interested in a school that can benefit him both on and off the field, and while academic are not a priority, Janda is certainly setting himself up for tough college courses. The Wisconsin football staff has made a great impression on Janda, who stated, “I’m excited to build a relationship with them.”
While it is still early, Wisconsin has put themselves in great standing with Janda which could prove to be valuable in the future.
