The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team is seeing a lot of turnover this off-season. Sarah Franklin, Devyn Robinson, Anna Smrek, CC Crawford, Julia Orzol, and Carly Anderson have all ran out of eligibility whereas Gulce Guctekin and Saige Dammrow entered the transfer portal.
Recently, Gulce Guctekin announced that she will be spending her final collegiate season at the University of Tennessee. Now, Saige Dammrow has made her decision as she will be joining the Creighton Blue Jays.
Former Wisconsin Badgers volleyball libero/defensive specialist Saige Dammrow has transferred to the Creighton Blue Jays
On her personal Instagram account, Saige Dammrow announced that she was transferring to Creighton. Dammrow previously said when she elected to leave Badgers volleyball, “While I’ve loved my time as a Badger and this program has been my dream sine I was a little girl, I am so excited to see where this journey will take me… I am committed to bettering myself as an individual and as a volleyball player.”
The Creighton Blue Jays had a very successful 2024 season
2024 was an unforgettable season for the Blue Jays as they went 32-3 overall and 18-0 in Big East play. In the NCAA tournament they made it to the elite eight, losing to the eventual champs, Penn State Nittany Lions. Saige Dammrow will look to help improve the team to help take the next step in making the final four and perhaps competing for a championship in 2025.
