The Wisconsin Badgers recruiting staff is working to become a top school for a fast-rising athlete in the 2026 recruiting class.
Dana Greenhow, a talented 2026 athlete primarily playing safety and cornerback, has become a player the Badgers are looking after. Greenhow is a native of Georgia and has starred for Sandy Creek High School in a variety of ways early on in his career. The athlete is both a threat to opposing defenses through the air, as well as someone who can drop the running back for a loss.
The 2026 recruit currently holds six total offers and received his first in May from the Indiana Hoosiers ahead of their exceptional season. Greenhow stated that the process has been “great” thus far and he continues to “speak to coaches with interest ” daily.
When speaking with the coaches, Greenhow stated, “I look for depth at my position, the environment so my family knows I’m going somewhere I feel safe.” The talented defensive back also added that he looks for “coaches that need me more than want me, and where academics are held high upon athletes.”
The Wisconsin Badgers have been among the programs interested in the recruit, however, they have yet to extend an offer to the recruit. Currently, Greenhow holds six offers from Indiana, Liberty, East Carolina, Georgia State, App State, and UAB. Wisconsin could very well become the next offer for Greenhow as the recruiting staff has been scouting the recruit for quite awhile.
However, the real “dream” school for Greenhow would be the Miami Hurricanes, who would be a tough program to beat if they were to offer the defensive back. Greenhow stated that the “smash-mouth football” and the “safeties that have been put into the league” are what he has admired about the program.
How Can Dana Greenhow Slide Into the Wisconsin Badgers Defense, Other Teams?
Greenhow is a player that can truly make an impact earlier due to his ability to breakdown the game as such a high level. The defensive back understands this and wants to be a part of a program in the future that is going to use his abilities in the best manner. What really has allowed Greenhow to reach this level of skill has been his football intelligence and physicality.
Most defensive backs nowadays shy away from contact and proper tackling has been something that is becoming harder and harder to find. However, Greenhow loves contact and enjoys to initiate contact against bigger opponents especially in order to take them down.
Coming in at 6-feet, 170-pounds, Greenhow is not the biggest player on the field but arguably one of the most willing tacklers. The defensive back plays the exact type of football he long has admired as a fan of the Miami Hurricanes program.
The Wisconsin Badgers could truly use an entire team of players with the mentality that Greenhow has on the field, which has made the recruit a fast-rising player in the 2026 class.
